Town 'n' Country

Central and convenient, close to the airport, in a west Tampa neighborhood worth knowing.

Overview

Town 'n' Country developed in the 1960s and 70s as one of west Tampa's first large-scale suburban communities, and its central location has kept it relevant ever since. Its position between the airport, the Westshore business district, and the Courtney Campbell Causeway to Clearwater makes it genuinely convenient, whatever direction your day takes you.

The housing stock is a real mix: established ranch homes on quiet residential streets sit near garden apartment complexes and newer townhomes, which gives buyers a wider range of price points than many surrounding areas. Legacy Real Estate Associates represents buyers and sellers throughout Town 'n' Country, working from our Bradenton office with the same direct, no-surprises approach we bring to every client.

Because it's an older, built-out community, many homes here have been renovated at some point, and the condition of that work varies widely. We help buyers evaluate renovations honestly and help sellers present their homes' history clearly.

Location

Town 'n' Country is an unincorporated community in central Hillsborough County, immediately west of downtown Tampa and just north of Tampa International Airport. Questions

Town 'n' Country FAQ

Does Legacy work in Town 'n' Country even without a local office?
Yes. We're based in Bradenton and represent buyers and sellers relocating to or investing in Town 'n' Country, and we're straightforward about working the market from outside it rather than claiming a storefront we don't have.
What's the housing stock like in Town 'n' Country?
It's a genuine mix of eras and property types: established ranch homes, apartment and condo complexes, and some newer townhomes, all within the same general area. That range means price points vary significantly block to block.
Is Town 'n' Country a good spot for airport proximity?
Its location just north of Tampa International Airport is one of its more practical advantages, useful for frequent flyers or anyone working nearby. Some buyers do want to weigh airport noise for homes closest to the flight paths, which we're glad to discuss directly.
Should I expect an older home in Town 'n' Country to need updates?
Many homes here date to the 1960s through 1980s, so systems like roofing, plumbing, and electrical are worth a close inspection regardless of how the home looks cosmetically. We make sure every buyer gets a thorough inspection before closing so there are no surprises.
