Overview

Parrish is an unincorporated community in eastern Manatee County, spread along the US 301 corridor and the Manatee River east of I-75. It has changed rapidly over the past decade, as new master-planned neighborhoods have filled in around what was, and in places still is, ranch and farmland.

That mix defines Parrish today: brand-new communities with pools and sidewalks sitting a short drive from working pastures and older homesteads. Parrish sits in eastern Manatee County along US 301 and the Manatee River, east of I-75 and roughly between Ellenton and Palmetto to the west and the Hillsborough County line to the north, with Lakewood Ranch a short drive to the south.
