Overview

Bloomingdale is an established community in eastern Hillsborough County, developed beginning in the 1980s around Bloomingdale Golfers Club and a network of connected subdivisions. Because it's one of the older planned communities in the Brandon area, its oak-lined streets and mature landscaping set it apart from newer, more open developments nearby.

The community sits close to the Alafia River, which gives residents relatively easy access to Alafia River State Park and the natural areas along the river corridor, alongside the everyday convenience of Brandon's retail and dining just up the road.

Is Bloomingdale a gated or golf-course community?
It's not gated, but it is organized around the public Bloomingdale Golfers Club, and many homes back up to the course. Golf-course frontage is worth confirming for any specific property, since not every section of Bloomingdale borders the course.
