Pinellas County, FL
St. Pete Beach
Overview
St. Pete Beach stretches along a barrier island on the Gulf of Mexico, anchored on its south end by Pass-a-Grille, one of the older and more distinct beach villages on the Pinellas coast, and running north along Gulf Boulevard past the Don CeSar and into a broader mix of condominiums, resorts, and single-family streets.
The market here varies as much as the geography. Pass-a-Grille's narrow lanes hold smaller, older homes and cottages, while the rest of the island includes a broader range of condominiums, resort properties, and homes on the bay side. Buyers should expect flood zone and insurance questions to come up early, and condo buyers in particular should look closely at an association's reserve funding and inspection history.
Legacy Real Estate Associates represents both buyers and sellers on St. Pete Beach, working from our Bradenton office to serve clients across Southwest Florida. A large share of our island buyers are relocating from other states, and we help them weigh the differences between Pass-a-Grille, the Don CeSar area, and the rest of the island before narrowing a search.
