Pinellas County, FL
Dunedin
Overview
Dunedin sits on the Gulf of Mexico in northern Pinellas County, a city that grew out of a small 1850s settlement called Jonesboro before Scottish merchants renamed it for Edinburgh. That heritage is still visible today in the city's sister-city ties to Stirling, Scotland, and its annual Highland Games, and it sits alongside a downtown that has deliberately kept out large chain stores in favor of independent shops and restaurants along Main Street.
Housing ranges from small, older Florida homes within walking distance of downtown to golf course and canal-front properties farther out, with the Fred Marquis Pinellas Trail running directly through the middle of town and the causeway to Honeymoon Island just to the west. The Toronto Blue Jays have trained at TD Ballpark since 1977, giving the city a spring baseball season that regulars build part of their year around.
Legacy Real Estate Associates represents buyers and sellers relocating to or investing in Dunedin. Our office is in Bradenton rather than Pinellas County, but Dunedin is part of the Southwest Florida market we work regularly, and we apply the same standard of contract review and negotiation here that we do at home.
